If you purchased our Silk Mint Embroidered top from last year this is related to you!

Since my husband and I work a minimum of 73 hours a week there is little time for laundry! We usually are putting in a load of wash at 10:00pm hoping we don't get too tired to finish the whole cycle. My laziness for dryell, hand washing, etc. caused me to sneak my Silk Mint Embroidered top into a load of wash (the tag says handwash therefore, I thought it can at least be submerged into water). My plan was to quickly pull it from the washer asap and hang dry it. Feeling accompolished, I cuddled up to a good magazine and my dog on the couch. In a short time, I had completely passed out and woke up enough to walk up to bed, leaving my husband to finish the load. The next morning, I remembered the load of laundry and abruptly rushed to the dryer praying that my favorite Silk Mint Embroidered top had survived. I pulled it out of the dryer and to my surprise, it was smooth, clean, soft, and shiny. It looked as good as new!

The moral to the story is although I don't recommend washing and drying this top, if it does happen by accident....everything is going to be okay. :)

I'm alive!! hehe. This is my first post in quite some time. The store has been keeping me extremely busy! We have been in our new location for a little over a year now and it's going great! We are currently working on launching our Fall/Holiday collections for 2010 and are so excited we can hardly stand it!!

There's something about the Fall Season that reinvents fashion and inspires me every year. I can remember when I purchased my first copy of InStyle. It just so happened to be their Fall issue for that year. I was 15 years old and at a Florida convention with my parents. I purchased the magazine at the hotel gift shop knowing that I would be stuck in the room for the majority of the day.

Unaware, my love for fashion started at the age of two. I would never hesitate to verbalize what I thought of my mother's outfits. I demanding to wear party dresses every day (including the day when painting the outside of the house was on the agenda). I would get in numerous fights with my mother as she would dress me in CORDUROY PANTS (ugh!) to go climb trees at a friends. As a teen I would often stay home alone in my room and put together "looks" from my closet. My real career dream always included singing.

That September, the moment I opened my first copy of InStyle...The Fall Issue...I knew that fashion design was my place. The rest of the trip the magazine never left my side. I was completely mesmerized and inspired by each and every glossy, wide-paged display of high-fashion (growing up in a small town, this was an eye-opener).

And here we are...at the beginning of it all again...Fall Fashion 2009! A Chance to re-invent, re-discover, and get inspired!

I've just returned from a show in nyc and I must say, Fall and Holiday at Glamour and Glow is going to be amazing!! I can't wait to share all of the wonderful designs with all of you!

It's back to the grind now and I've got some custom work to get finished up for the lovely August brides! I will leave you with a picture of the gorgeous flower arrangements at the show. I have not been able to get them out of my head, they were absolutely breathtaking!!!

Upon graduation, she moved to the states and continued with her commitment of self expression by launching her clothing line. Prepping the 'behind the scenes'

Many of you have recently been in the store and noticed some changes. We are working on expanding what we offer to our customers. I have been so busy talking with designers and putting together paperwork, contacts, faxes, emails, phone calls, etc. that there hasn't been much jewelry making going on.

We are constantly getting new shipments in from upcoming designers all around the world and we are pleased that we get to share them with you!

I have a few weddings and custom orders to finish up before getting back on task with creating for the store. In the meantime, stop in and check out all of the *gorgeous* new pieces that we are offering from other designers! We personally select each designer individually to ensure quality and flow.

I feel compelled to write off topic today. I am celebrating my 24th birthday (at the store of course) and I have had so many wonderful surprises throughout the day! I appreciate every one of you! Without my family or friends, I could not have made it this far!

I have been working quite regularly on re-stocking the store after the Holidays. I am pretty well stocked for Valentine's Day! Next week I will be changing the bridal display window to my Valentine's Day theme (can't wait, the idea has been floating around in my head...wanting to explode!)
Today I have worked on some custom orders and organizing for my donation to the silent auction at The Annual SnowBall Event! At the event you will be able to bid on the necklace pictured above and matching earrings. The money will benefit the Sullivan Trail Chapter of the American Red Cross!! Recently it was brought to my attention that it stays light past 5o'clock.
"WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN!?" (and has been for the past few months). So I guess my plan for getting a good tan this Summer is out the window! (And not literally, there aren't even windows in my studio!)
But being the optimist that I am, I am focusing on some exciting things that are coming up! I will post more on these when everything is set!
...Hopefully all of work hours will turn into something great!
And maybe if I blink again, Winter will be through with!!!
